Ranworth Symposium

The 1st Ranworth Symposium, following on from 2008's Antiphoner Discovery Event, was held in Ranworth St Helen's on Saturday 27 November 2010.


9.30am Arrival and Registration

11.45am Women and the Holy Kinship Altarpiece: the centrality of the matrilineal line to a pragmatic piety. Dr. Carole Hill

12.30pm Lunch

1.45pm The St. John the Baptist Altarpiece: cults and connections. Revd. Nick Garrard

2.30pm Music from the Ranworth Antiphoner: Advent antiphons and the Office of St Helen. Miss Katie Hawks and Anna Sander

3.15pm Tea

3.45pm Liturgical re-enactment of the Sarum Churching of Women liturgy.

4.30pm Panel discussion with speakers, Eamon Duffy and Paul Binski.
