James is Head of Academic Music at Haileybury School. The Ranworth Antiphoner was the subject of his M.A. dissertation.
Nick Garrard (2008, 2010)
Nick has been Rector of Ranworth since 2006 and recently completed an M.A. in Art History through the Open University. His studies considered the Ranworth screen altarpieces from the perspective of fifteenth century spirituality.
Katie Hawks (2008, 2010)
Katie read mediaeval history at St Andrews and Cambridge, subsequently enthusing about it to bemused teenagers. She now restores furniture. Music has been a constant love and she has sung in and directed various early music choirs, including a trio which last performed some of the Antiphoner last year.
Carole Hill (2010)
Carole was a very mature student at the UEA for her first degree. Later, her MA dissertation was awarded the Alan Carter Memorial Prize for a local or regional study, following which her PhD thesis was funded by the British Academy. A book, based on her PhD thesis, ‘Incarnational Piety: Women and religion in late medieval Norwich and its hinterlands’, is forthcoming in the Royal Historical Society series.
